About Us

Troop 320 is an active Boy Scout Troop in the Town of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.  We are a unit within the Black River District of the Occoneechee Council.

Originally chartered in 1951, Troop 320 has been continually serving Fuquay-Varina for the past 40 years. It has been awarded the Quality Unit award for the past 39 years.

Troop 320 goes by the "Orange Crush" nickname, a reference to the color of their hats and the colors of Fuquay-Varina High School. This name was given to them by fellow troops as 320 arrived at summer camp in a very large, old and crinkled orange school bus many years ago.  A tradition of the troop is to hand out cans of Orange Crush soda to other scouts at summer camp.

Join our troop.  We will be meeting in the Centrum  at 100 Judd Parkway SE, Fuquay Varina from 7:30 PM until 9:00 PM.

MONEY and SIGN UP DUE by 12/30

This will be a duffel bag trip. No cooking planning needed. No tents/hammocks needed. Scouts should plan to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, Class A uniform, water bottle and any personal items in a soft, manageable pack. The sleeping areas are heated but you will want a jacket on the flight deck. Bring a sandwich/sack lunch for dinner Friday and some cash for lunch on the way home Sunday.

For those Scouts and Scouters who have been there before- Patriots Point have invested in new interactive displays in the Yorktown engine room as well as the Laffey engine room and combat control center as well as new features and a movie in the Vietnam experience. So if you haven't been in a few years, you are in for some surprises.
