About Us

Troop 320B is an active Scouts BSA Boy Troop in the Town of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.  We are a unit within the Cardinal District of the Occoneechee Council.

Originally chartered in 1951, Troop 320B has been continually serving Fuquay-Varina for the past 49 years. It has been awarded the Quality Unit award for the past 48 years.

Troop 320B goes by the "Orange Crush" nickname, a reference to the color of their hats and the colors of Fuquay-Varina High School. This name was given to them by fellow troops as 320 arrived at summer camp in a very large, old and crinkled orange school bus many years ago.  A tradition of the troop is to hand out cans of Orange Crush soda to other scouts at summer camp.

Join our troop.  We will be meeting at 100 Judd Parkway SE, Fuquay Varina from 7:30 PM until 9:00 PM

Summer Camp 2025 - Camp Davy Crockett - Tuesday, March 25, 2025

Camp Davy Crockett is nestled in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains in Northeast Tennessee. Its pristine wilderness and strong camping traditions make it a fantastic place to attend camp. Camp Davy Crockett is 1865 acres with 9 miles of shoreline on Cherokee Lake. Camp Davy Crockett celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022, and continues to be a place where we build tomorrow’s leaders.

Some great things about Camp Davy Crockett are:

  • Frontier Camp is a program rich in the traditions of the 1800s, reliving the life of a young Davy Crockett
  • Swimming Pool and Lakefront Programs, including Motorboating and Water Skiing
  • Strong Merit Badge Program with a rotating schedule offering over 50 merit badges

June and July temperatures average a high of 82 and a low of 61.

High Adventure Experience: Summit Experience
This is a seven-day/six-night program. It consists of half-day introductory level experiences at each of the nine Summit high adventure venues. The Summit encourages participants to grow in competence, confidence, caring and awareness by providing experiences that require participants to move out of their comfort zones and “stretch” themselves. The Summit Experience Program at The Paul R. Christen National High Adventure Base uses extreme sports to help everyone find their personal “stretch” zone. In addition, each group will have the chance to ride ‘The Big Zip’ – our 3⁄4 mile zip line. In addition, each night (Monday-Friday), we will open the Scott Summit Center for activities, fun and socializing. The Scott Summit Center incorporates small versions of our adventure sports venues.
