The church hosts "Come Learn S'more" events some Sunday afternoons on the front patio a few times throughout the year.  These events serve primarily as a forum for new members and visitors at FVUMC to learn about the various ministries within the church to help them get more connected; all while enjoying S'mores on over the fire.

We've had a few Scouts (cubs, G troop and B troop) at each of these events to tend to the fire pit and answer any questions that might come up about the Scouting programs we offer.

The responsibility means showing up early (around 4p), in uniform, to set up a fire pit and get a fire going (sometimes helping set up the church tents).  Tend to the fire during the event, extinguish the fire after, and clean up the fire pit and materials. Typically 4pm-6pm.
